When a software become a product?
When do chunks of code become something really usefull?
When you get customer satisfied? Maybe.
When the whole package get consciousness of itself? 
Not enough
When other customers identify that mix of bytes, code & database as the solution to their needs;
this imply that your software has a self-explaining image.
In Scrum, Product Owner plays a big role in your team, it helps a lot because he knows where to go and which direction drive the team.
The product owner sits in the driver’s seat, deciding what should be done and when the software should be shipped.
Easy, ain’t it?
